Canadian Education Network (CEN), in collaboration with Paragon Testing Enterprises, a subsidiary of the University of British Columbia, is launching LPI English Testing in the Kingdom.
The LPI Test which stands for Language Proficiency Index is a Canadian English Test of reading and writing originally developed by the University of British Columbia (UBC), more than twenty-five years ago.
Its unique diagnostic qualities have been proven to contribute to improvements in English proficiency of individuals and success rate of organizations.
The LPI Test will benefit students at various stages whether they plan to pursue post-secondary studies locally or abroad in a country where English is the language of instruction. With its emphasis on reading and writing, the two most critical skills in today’s global economy, the LPI Test empowers professionals with the confidence and credibility they need to perform at a higher level.
A few weeks ago, CEN had opened an LPI Testing Center in Riyadh at the Kingdom Schools, one of the most prestigious schools in the country. That was the first LPI Testing Centre in the Kingdom. CEN is now inaugurating an LPI Testing Center at the Al Andalus Private Schools, in Jeddah, which will be the second LPI Centre in the Kingdom.
The Al Andalus Private School in Jeddah, renowned for its high quality of education and impressive premises (including computer and science labs where the LPI Testing will take place), is a legendary and prominent school in the Kingdom.
Dr. George S. Chrysomilides, President and CEO of the Canadian Education Network (CEN), says “We are excited to partner with Al Andalus School, a national leader of excellence in education and technology to make the LPI Test accessible to students and professionals in the region of Jeddah.”
Currently registration is open for the LPI Test which costs 170$ CAD – a saving of $50 to $60 as compared with other English language proficiency tests. For students interested in studying in the USA and Canada, CEN will be able to develop a study plan and facilitate placement into ESL (English as a Second Language), undergraduate or graduate programs.
Engineer Yousef Abdul-Ghani Elkhereiji, Deputy General Manager, Director of Administration and Finance of Al-Andalus Private Schools, Jeddah, says : “We are enthusiastic and happy to be working in conjunction with Canadian Education Network to provide the Language Proficiency Index Computerized Test (i.e. LPI) of the University of British Columbia to students and professionals who wish to strengthen their English language skills and attain an international qualification and value to their English proficiency.”
Interested students and professionals are encouraged to secure their registration early on through the CEN LPI website at http://caneducation.com/LPI.php which includes information in English and Arabic. Further support is available by visiting Al-Andalus Private Schools in Jeddah (Phone 02-6399111 Ext. 375).
