American High School Diploma Program is one of the most prestigious and sought after program at Andalus Private Schools. The program has been running for the last five years. At the high school, the program has been continuously and successfully growing at a steady pace. The growth of the program itself speaks volumes about the effectiveness and benefits of the program.

The program started in academic session of 2007-2008 with one class in Grade 10. Like any program in the initial stage, AHSDP had its share of problems and difficulties but, with the help of Allah, the continuous support of the top management and professionalism and hard work of teachers, the program sailed smoothly through its initial phase. Over the years the number of classes and students have been gradually increasing. The school has a policy of gradual growth to ensure the quality and standard of the education and services offered to the students and parents.

One of the hallmarks of the program is very careful and standardized selection of students to join the program. This selection procedure  ensures that only those students who are eligible and have the language skills to cope with the workload and required standards of the program.

Till date two batches of students have graduated from AHSDP at Andalus Private Schools. Alhamdulillah, these students has proved themselves at various universities locally and internationally. A number of students have already joined the Medicine School at King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah. Many students have joined universities in USA, Canada and UK.

During next two years Grade 7 and Grade 8 will be added to the program. This will complete the loop from Grade 1 to 12. Having students in the program who started with American High School Diploma Program will enhance the effectiveness of program as they would be better prepared in terms of language skills and study habits to take on the challenging curriculum designed to prepare the students for the universities in terms of academics.

Character building and discipline are two major characteristics of the program along with academic development. The program strives to ensure that our students are trained to respect and follow Islamic values and discipline their lives. Continuous communication with parents and students ensures that parents are involved in this process.

Looking at the progress of the program over the last five years, it is obvious and evident that the program is living up to the expectations of all. However, as in any other field of life, there is always room for improvement and the management and teachers at AHSDP are continuously working towards improvement. The program will, Insha Allah, be able to serve the community even better in the future.
